It's the beginning of Fall, we clean up the river. I'm not sure why we've developed this tradition, but I think it's a good one. So, come down to the confluence of the park and ct rivers at 10am on Oct. 1 and help clean what Irene dumped.

Thanks for the heads up! Picking up (and through) trash is often a meditative experience. Interesting that our last bike ride prominently featured a discussion on trash and the impact of disposable culture on memory.
I also picked up a book at the library on garbage. Guess my curiousity was piqued by Dario's topic.
I guess it is incumbent on me now to show up and pick up some trash with you boys.
