I moved to Maine. I live in a town where I, come to think of it, haven't seen very many people riding bikes.

I went in to a bike shop and the dude working there said, "mountain biking is king around here."

Riding bicycles in Hartford is in. It's on the way up and the sky isn't the limit. Keep up the good work. Thanks for making me a part of it.

I am retiring from the beatbikeblog. I hope some bicycle riding women riding around Hartford

join the beatbikeblog.

See ya lata.

Thanks so much for your contributions, both written and active, to Hartford's bike scene, Joel. You were the point man for my involvement with this blog and always good for some quality conversation whenever our paths crossed in the beat. I wish you the best up (or downeast) in Maine and hope our paths cross again soon.

If things get too mountain-bike centric for your liking around you, just start calling a 700c 'cross or road bike an "Ultralight 29er" and people will go mad over it.

Don't be a stranger, man. Keep in touch and keep it real wherever you are and wherever life takes you. You are welcome to crash at my house whenever you feel like visiting Hartford and joining us for a ride.

Thanks for stopping by, Joel.

At some point in the not too distance future, I'll be up there because Johanna has a friend in Orono. Are you in Lewiston?
