Many waters

Remember how I was talking about the river being flooded? It isn't any more, but I don't even have to go near it anymore to find out. Check this thing out on the USGS website that friend of the blog, Jason, showed me.

Also, check out this email (with cool clip art) I got from some guy named Brendan:

Hello,
Spring has sprung and it's time to clean up the winter's scattered refuse. The Office of Councilperson Luis Cotto and the Trinity College Environmental Club are teaming up to work on a very visble, but often forgotten tract of land: the area near Flatbush Ave on/off ramp. We're doing this as part of Great American Cleanup, which is undertaken in Hartford by Knox Parks. It should be fun. Afterwards, we'll go get something to eat. We'll be cleaning from 11am to 2pm. You can park in the Walmart plaza parking lot or along Brookfield Street.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Respectfully,
Brendan Mahoney
Executive Assistant to Councilperson Luis E Cotto

ps. You're either receiving this because you're associated with the PHH list or the Hartford City Council's Public Works, Parks and Environment committee distribution list.
