I almost always know which way the cardinal directions are, but frequently there are no roads that connect to where I want to go, so I end up pointing my bike south, riding for five miles, and running into a dead end. This is why I like cities more than country roads, scenery and improvised explosive poultry notwithstanding.El Presidente de Chinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09451059216906022450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580218268291985619.post-49861897338198525992008-07-23T22:44:00.000-04:002008-07-23T22:44:00.000-04:00I was wondering if that chicken was loaded when I ...I was wondering if that chicken was loaded when I set up to take the picture. Alls well that ends well I guess.

As for the Rt signs, where I grew up they use Rt numbers in lieu of road names. But I guess Southeastern CT is just lower class than Simsbury. we drink beer not wine and call slacks pants, Neanderthals.Karmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00293205680039476494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580218268291985619.post-50414472550658731112008-07-23T16:10:00.000-04:002008-07-23T16:10:00.000-04:00It sounds you were somehow able to avoid the poult...It sounds you were somehow able to avoid the poultry-terrorism of Simsbury.

DAAAAMMNNNN YOOUUUUU, SIMSBURYYYYY!!!

*shakes fist*OpusOnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04109939318645099395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580218268291985619.post-35963365945595243402008-07-23T15:03:00.000-04:002008-07-23T15:03:00.000-04:00I have long been a fan of GPS in my car (Garmin 66...I have long been a fan of GPS in my car (Garmin 660 has saved my life many times) and am now learning to be a fan of it on my bike as well. I got a Magellan model without maps, so all I know is there I came from. But it has been invaluable in making me feel free to wander, because I always know the way back.

Of course, if you have a natural sense of direction, it is certainly cheaper to use that!Nomadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10419122266777226774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580218268291985619.post-91594950579228816422008-07-23T15:02:00.000-04:002008-07-23T15:02:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Nomadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10419122266777226774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580218268291985619.post-13343523248398161712008-07-23T13:21:00.000-04:002008-07-23T13:21:00.000-04:00once the routes are triple digit state routes, you...once the routes are triple digit state routes, you don't see many signs. especially when they're greater than 199.

urban areas are actually worse. tell me how many signs you see for the state routes that go through w. hartford or hartford?

did I edit your html ok?Brendanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09629741034989840981noreply@blogger.com
