Hartford Alleycat?

It's been a while since we've had one of these. I believe this is still planned for Sunday. Who's riding?

About ten hardy Hartford riders showed. The race was a simple A-to-B (hence the name) from Keney to Goodwin Park. One rider may have disappeared en route. Not sure what happened there. Much props to Orion & Matt for putting another aspect of bike scene back on the mean streets of Hartford.

By the way, what's up with all the trash in Keney Park? I showed up early to chill at the park, but it was like visiting the dump.

I did catch a bit of a cricket game before the bike drag race. I think the Hartford team was getting beat by a team from Toronto, but I can't say for sure as I don't know how scoring even happens.

Bummed that I couldn't make it, I was working my second Sunday in a row. Glad it happened nonetheless.

Keney is such a great park, and it really sucks that people take advantage of its quiet and secluded spots for illegal dumping. That makes me angry.

So, who won?

Not me.

Bummed I missed it, hopefully another soon!

@Brendan: Orion posted the results on his blog. I can tell you that the top three finishers formed a team-like peloton just after Main & Albany, and both Ryan and Dave deserved first, especially Dave who casually rocked jeans and a single speed.

And one guy was eaten by a CHUD.

Yeah, but it looks like you rocked first place on a mountain bike. Congratulations!
